I've decided to start keeping this place as a record of my new journey here in Los Angeles, starting in 2019 as a part of a new years resolution. I'll periodically be posting updates here as sort of a diary entry/blog style post, with each new one being a paragraph on this page. Posts should happen once a week or so!

Wow what a journey life has been since getting out here to Los Angeles. It's almost been a year of living in California and I still love how warm it is all the time. Ohio is no comparison! This post is going to be about how I have been walking around downtown Glendale and finding some great spots to take pictures in the urban jungle--a new experience for someone who usually works primarily with park settings and natural light.
There's a recently closed Citibank branch near my apartment complex that has some gorgeous concrete walls that are just an amazing backdrop when lit well. Concrete is such a trendy cool look and the industrial, modern feel it gives is so much fun to work with. The building itself is covered in old bricks and gives a grungy feel, which would be great for a shoot styled this way.
The Armenian consulate near my complex too has some great brick walls with wrought iron bars and ivy cascading through them creating a natural yet urban look that's incredibly unique. It has some great flowering puff ball trees to add a splash to color to any portrait, and they look absolutely stunning.
These are just some of my thoughts, and I'll definitely be keeping up with this more often. Thanks for reading!
